Victories of the Heart and Mind

Reading, writing, music and the creative arts are the cutting edge of cultural evolution and change.

But mainstream newspapers, radio, television, movies and mass media are generally not good measures of change… because they provide only corporate delusions.

The most significant changes which have taken place in this nation and others come from a variety of unexpected sources and alternative efforts.

The statement that politicians “cannot or do not change the nation” is an interesting philosophy, but simply not true. History speaks volumes. In terms of real power and actual priorities… no leader on the planet has as much effect on our daily lives as the president of the United States. It is easy to say this is false, but history is a witness. Organizing , educating and agitating are sources for real change.
Sometimes change must be new leadership for the nation. We can make better choices.

Bernie Sanders is a phony.
He has a real record in the congressional record. Regardless of what he says, we know what he does.

Bernie votes to support American and Israeli aggression. He votes for reductions in civil liberties, dozens of unnecessary wars of choice and proactively supports profiteering costing trillions.

In spite of Sanders’ famous bad temper, he can be charismatic and talks a good game about economic change and equity, but this is not how he votes. He votes like a tired old conservative.
Sanders believes wars for profit are reasonable and necessary parts of our economic base. He is dead wrong. Bernie intends to become another “war-tender.”  Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama and Trump shared an agenda of violent aggression for corporate profit.  Under Bernie Sanders, this would continue unabated.

Bernie the Bomber, Hillary the Hawk, Donald the Dingbat, and Biden the bomber… offer no plan, vision or useful ideas for this nation. All four have records which identify them as pro-war and less than progressive. Truth-telling is not an attack. This political necessity and tactical priority is the base for any change which may occur.

Speaking hard truths is powerful and necessary if we want change.

Pretense and illusions are how we arrived at this precipice.  This is why we are where we are. False hope and calls for “economic reform…” took james_baldwin_550pxus from 4 wars of choice to 31 wars of aggression.

We are now bombing at least 10 nations who did not attack us and sending hundreds of drones… each killing an average of 50 innocents abroad. A failed judiciary murders prisoners and militarized police are allowed by the  president to kill at will at home. There has been no  accountability, honor or moral compunction.

We murder without charges, trial, due-process , or justice.

This is no slippery slope, we have arrived. A consortium
of politicians, profiteers and corporate-raiders run the nation…spending trillions murdering millions for a corporate bottom line. As long as we allow this to continue, we cannot rebuild infrastructure, provide heath-care, secure the peace or build a future.

The cure is courage. Fear-mongering is an excuse, not a reason. If we want real change in November 2020 and beyond, we must continue our struggle with words, ideas, music and arts.  Political and human struggles must occur in the streets, in marches, at rallies and during revolutionary choices in our homes, lives, and the voting booth.

“Settling” for lesser evils is a real bad idea.
We have n we have been presented with a greater good which remains within our grasp. We can bring a Green revolution of ideas, principles and actions into the streets and take it to the White House. We must petition congress and allow a Green New Deal for peace to sweep across the nation and turn the ship of state.
Wars for profit are not sustainable. As long as Bernie, Hillary, Donald, Pence and others continue flogging the dead horse of endless war, our spiraling decline continues. .

The Millionaire’s Glee Club must not prevail.  Change is in our hands. Dr. Jill Stein does not offer platitudes or empty promises.  She and those who stand with her in the Green Party understand the issues and deliver real and attainable answers. The only way we
can move from exporting terror, munitions and war to exporting knowledge, technology and peace… is to face facts and stop pretending.

And victory is within our grasp. The Green New Deal swept Europe and is growing in America while membership in the war parties continues to decline

news3-1

There are ongoing lawsuits which could change this nation. When the League of women voters ran the critical discussion of our national debates, we were able to hear everyone and discuss real issues. Since a biased private corporation took over the show, we hear only what they want us to hear. Mainstream media talks about little or nothing vital to our lives and well-being. When these trials are over and alternative candidates are allowed to participate in political debates, we will have three choices in  November 2020. We can choose wars for profit with Republicans who boast or Democrats who lie about rank treason. Or we can choose courage, brilliance, revolution and truth to prevail. When we vote our values instead of surrendering the game, we will not have to compromise principles or suffer though eight more years of tragedy.

If the 40 million students whose debt will be erased, the 31 million Americans who will receive universal nonprofit healthcare, the untold millions of Americans who can profit from ending 31 corporate wars vote for peace, we can regulate the banksters and rebuilding the nation. We can join together in an act of mass civil disobedience to take back the nation and build foundations for a world no longer at war to feed cons, profiteers and criminals. Surrender is no tactic.

The struggle continues We must organize, educate and agitate for real and effective social justice and human victories of the heart. We do not have to take it anymore. We can refuse by standing firm. We can serve the greater good by standing up and fighting back.

“Our strategy should be not only to confront empire, but to lay siege to it. To deprive it of oxygen. To shame it. To mock it. With our art, our music, our literature, our stubbornness, our joy, our brilliance, our sheer relentlessness – and our ability to tell our own stories. Stories that are different from the ones we’re being brainwashed to believe. The corporate revolution will collapse if we refuse to buy what they are selling – their ideas, their version of history, their wars, their weapons, their notion of inevitability.

Remember this: We be many and they be few. They need us more than we need them. Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.”
